Was there at 5pm, but the programme didn't started till after 7.30pm. What a waste of time! I should have gone to do some shopping instead of waiting patiently for the thing to start. It doesn't pay to be patient this instant.

If everything had started at 5pm, the audience would not have been treated to the rain. The rain spoiled the mood of the occasion. Yes, maybe some people enjoyed soaking in the rain, but I didn't. I felt the rain had removed the mood of the dance competition. People kept moving about to avoid the rain, thus, the competition itself couldn't be enjoyed. I couldn't enjoy the dancing doing their stuff onstage. Having the audience huddled up together removed the visibility of most of the people who were standing behind.

As it was, the standard of the dancers was also below standard from the one I saw last year. Or those from other competition. Most dancers were using more gimmicks than dancing. Most letted go precious seconds of the music when they should be showing off. I didn't enjoy the choreography of most the groups and soloists. If I was the judge, I would deduct points. Hopefully the judges that night were more lenient.
I didn't stay till the finish. When the groups finished their part, I left the place. Hundgry already from waiting, so went to grab something to eat.
Though there were some good dances, on the whole, I felt the dancers should have done better. This was a big event afterall. I was disappointed with the competition performance, both the organisers and the dancers.
May next year be better .....
